TAIWAN NIGHT MARKET
Night markets are integral to Taiwanese culture, offering a vibrant and immersive experience that showcases the country’s culinary delights, traditions, and local communities.
Our project is a night market magazine created by Japanese students studying in Taiwan. It aims to introduce the rich and diverse culture of Taiwan to fellow Japanese, particularly the younger generation.
We were inspired to choose this topic because of our shared passion for Taiwanese culture and our observation of a lack of awareness about Taiwan among our fellow Japanese students, especially the younger generation. We saw an opportunity to bridge this cultural gap by creating a platform to share our experiences and insights with our peers back in Japan.
Through articles, photographs, and interviews, we highlight the unique aspects of Taiwanese night markets, food, traditions, and lifestyle. Our goal is to promote cultural exchange and understanding between Japan and Taiwan, fostering a deeper appreciation for Taiwanese culture among our peers in Japan.
